Executive Director
Brad Larner

Brad is a former United States Marine, serving as the founding executive director, overseeing daily operations for Veterans for Truth Inc. (VFT). He is also a Christian therapist and Vice President of Foundational Truth Family Services, a Bible based counseling practice serving individuals and families in the Saginaw area since 2008. Brad had the vision that became VFT after coming across a number of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who either preferred to see a Christian therapist (and could not afford to) or could not receive services elsewhere for a number of reasons that included less than honorable discharges and the inability to afford services.

He sought like-minded individuals to help found VFT to ensure that no veteran or their family member would have to go without counseling services for problems that result directly or indirectly from their military service.

For more than 10 years prior to founding VFT, Brad worked as a counselor and therapist helping individuals and their families in the tri-city area with problems stemming from addiction and depression or anxiety to more complicated family problems.

Brad holds a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Michigan State University, and is a doctoral candidate at MSU in Family Studies working on his dissertation on Meaning-Making Coping and posttraumatic growth processes in Combat Veterans.

He was raised near Bay City, Michigan prior to joining the Marine Corps, and currently lives in Saginaw, Michigan.
